Medieval Feast History Day!

Hello ,
Hear ye! Hear ye! It is time to feast like royalty - SLOCA style! We will gather together to celebrate this Medieval year of history by feasting as a community while we enjoy our students’ performances and entertainment.
Attendees!
We are inviting our entire SLOCA community to this event, all students from preschool through high school and all of their immediate families. We are sorry, but because we are such a large community, we cannot accommodate friends, grandparents, or other extended family. Your official invitation and RSVP request will come in a few weeks.
Feast!
Of course, this all revolves around the feast! The students will sit at tables with their classmates and teachers and will be served by food servers (parent volunteers!). The feast for parents and siblings will be buffet style, but parents and families will be
seated at tables too! Parents of students with food allergies, there will be a place to indicate your student’s allergies on the RSVP with the official invite. We will have separately prepared allergy-friendly food for those who need it, and we are asking that you serve your own student to ensure that there are no mistakes.
Entertainment!
Students are going to be entertaining us throughout the evening! All students (except for Little Wonders) will perform with their class, and some students will also provide additional entertainment for us.
Costumes!
Students will dress up in any garb inspired by the Middle Ages. Parents are encouraged to dress up as well! We will have royal kings and queens, humble peasants, knights (maybe even a dragon!), Viking warriors, and many clad in Lincoln Green, I am sure.
Location!
The Medieval Feast is at Hacienda Antigua at 4900 Davenport Creek Road, SLO. We are so grateful for this incredible location! The event will be on packed dirt and gravel, so plan shoes accordingly.
Parking!
Parking all of us is going to be tricky! Please come in as few cars as possible and even consider carpooling with another family. There is accessible parking at the venue, as well as some regular parking. Once the on-site parking is full, it will be street
parking only. We will have a drop-off area by the entry gates, but be ready to make your pilgrimage to the event! We wish there was another way… but alas, there is not. We will have parking assistants to help you find the best available spot (another parent volunteer opportunity!)
Volunteering!
We do need a lot of help to make this huge event happen! When the official invite comes out in a few weeks, we will also release the volunteer sign up sheet. This includes making food for the feast,
volunteering to serve, park, set up, clean up, and much more. Please help in as many ways as you can!
